Brooklyn Nets 2025-2026 guide: Roster, Depth Chart & Key Players
Seduced and officially abandoned by all the players they hoped to rebuild around, the Nets are now trying to forget and finally rebuild for real, without shortcuts this time
The Brooklyn Nets are entering a crucial transitional phase: after a season plagued by injuries – with major absences that disrupted both continuity and results – the project is now fully focused on the future.

Key Players
Cam Thomas (G, 9.0 cr) took more shots than Steph Curry last season and still averaged 24 points per game. Now comes the make-or-break year: he must silence the critics on the court and prove he’s more than just a pure scorer. His future — and to some extent the Nets’ — will depend on what he shows over the next 82 games.
Possible Surprises
Egor Demin (G, 7.0 cr) is a 19-year-old point guard, standing 2.06m tall and weighing 91kg. His low three-point shooting percentages raised some doubts, but he responded in Summer League with a solid 43.5% from beyond the arc. He could turn out to be the perfect piece to round out the Nets’ starting five — and at just 7 credits, he’s a very tempting pick for fantasy coaches.
Players to Avoid
Looking at Michael Porter Jr.’s (F, 11.5 cr) FTP chart feels like a rollercoaster ride. To make him feel central to the Nets’ project, they likely promised him the freedom to shoot whenever he wants. There’s a real risk of a Jordan Poole effect here, even though Porter has undeniable offensive talent and can break down any defender in isolation. But basketball remains a team sport.
Likely Starting Lineup
PG: Terance Mann (Guard, 6.5 credits)
SG: Cam Thomas (Guard, 9.0 credits)
SF: Egor Demin (Guard, 7.0 credits)
PF: Michael Porter Jr. (Forward, 11.5 credits)
C: Nicolas Claxton (Center, 9.5 credits)
Power Ranking
Much of the Nets’ season will hinge on the impact of their rookies, making them a true wild card. What we expect, though, is a season-long battle right on the edge of the play-in zone.
