Washington Wizards 2025-2026 guide: Roster, Depth Chart & Key Players

Often, the teams with the worst records play an important role in Dunkest thanks to their upside trades. Let’s see what the Washington Wizards can offer us this year

The Washington Wizards are focusing on promising young players, with CJ McCollum acting as a mentor. Some experienced guides will accompany the new up-and-comers, ready to carve out playing time both on the court and in our fantasy squads.

At the end of the article, you can consult all the guides to the 30 NBA teams by accessing the Guide Index.

Dunkest NBA Fantasy Basketball has over 200,000 fantasy coaches competing every year since 2013 with points, assists, and rebounds. It’s free and can be played via iOS app, Android app, and Website.

Key Players

CJ McCollum (G, 10.0 cr) is expected to lead this team. Even during his Pelicans days he showed he could handle point-guard responsibilities, giving us plenty of fantasy moments. This year, even while occupying a guard spot, we expect much of the offensive flow to reflect his style and game.

Possible Surprises

The Wizards will reboot their point guard rotation starting with Bub Carrington (G, 8.0 cr), who is called to continue developing. Last season he had several games above 30 FTP, and perhaps this year he’ll also deliver more consistency.

Another player who made a small leap – and whom we hope makes another – is Bilal Coulibaly (G, 7.5 cr). He will be injured for the first part of the season, but in his third NBA season the 21-year-old will want to return at maximum, and his attractive price convinces us to bet on him as soon as he’s available.

Players to Avoid

Khris Middleton (F, 8.5 cr) will be more of a player to monitor for injury replacements than a staple in our fantasy squads. Physical issues and just over 20 minutes per game limit his fantasy impact. The experience he brings will be valuable for the Wizards, but on the court he is unlikely to produce significant stats.

Likely Starting Lineup

PG: Bub Carrington (Guard, 8.0 Credits)

SG: CJ McCollum (Guard, 10.0 Credits)

SF: Kyshawn George (Guard, 5.5 Credits – Coulibaly injured )

PF: Khris Middleton (Forward, 8.5 Credits)

C: Alex Sarr (Center, 8.0 Credits)

Power Ranking

Undeniably one of the rosters with the least to say in the league: this year, Washington suffers again, like last year, and the year before that… We can expect nothing more than a bottom-of-the-standings placement.
