Wildcard: what is it? How does it work?
The Wildcard is a very special bonus that can be used within the Dunkest Fantasy basketball. Let’s find out how and when to use it
In Dunkest Fantasy Basketball there is a fundamental bonus to keep your fantasy team competitive throughout the season: the Wildcard.
Intro
First of all, it is necessary to be clear that in Dunkest Fantasy Basketball you can change your fantasy team after each Matchday, by selling and buying players with operations called Trades.
Each Trades has a Cost of -5pts (NBA) and -3pts (Euroleague) which will be subtracted from the score that your fantasy team will total in the next Matchday.
At this point the concept of the Wildcard comes into play.
What is a Wildcard?
The Wildcard is a bonus that, if activated, allows you to make unlimited trades without receiving penalties for the duration of a single Matchday.
All Dunkest teams have 1 Wildcard available for free: once used, it runs out but you can buy additional ones in the Advantages section.
How to activate a Wildcard?
1) Login and go to your team
2) Use the On/Off switch to activate it
3) All the penalties due to your trades will be canceled for that Matchday
4) For the remaining of the Matchday you can make an unlimited number of trades without accumulating penalties.
Difference between Wildcard and Free Trades
In the Advantages section of your fantasy team you can purchase two advantages:Wildcards and Free Trades. How do they differ?
- The Wildcard, as we have seen, is valid for one Matchday only and once activated, it is “consumed”
- Free Trades (available for up to 5), on the other hand, are valid for all Matchdays of the entire season. Consequently, in each Matchday you can make up to the number of free trades you have purchased, without receiving any penalties.
