The excitement surrounding the Philadelphia 76ers continues to grow, but not everyone agrees on how to view the team. While Kevin Durant sees a team similar to the Warriors that dominated the league, Dwight Howard believes people should be much more cautious.

Why does he bring up the Knicks?
Before choosing Philadelphia, LeBron James had been heavily linked to the New York Knicks. Had that move happened, he would have formed a trio with Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns, two All-Stars who were already key pieces of the NBA Finals team.
According to Howard, that would have been the true superteam, one comparable to the Warriors squad that many consider one of the greatest teams in NBA history.
Who is right is impossible to say today. The answer will only come on the court. If the 76ers truly dominate the NBA and go on to win the championship, Durant’s comparison will carry even more weight. If not, Howard will be able to say he saw it coming.
