For the second time in March, Dillon Brooks will be forced to miss a game due to suspension for accumulating too many technical fouls. The NBA automatically suspends players for one game after they receive 16 technical fouls in a season, and every two technical fouls thereafter.

During the third quarter against the Mavericks, Brooks taunted Theo Pinson after a dunk. The Grizzlies player mimicked the motion of waving pom-poms, insinuating that Pinson was being paid to be a cheerleader rather than a basketball player.

After the game, Dillon Brooks commented on the incident bluntly:

Brooks could avoid another suspension if the league office decides to revoke this technical foul, but the Grizzlies do not consider this a realistic possibility.
