Anthony Edwards injury: “Out at least 2 weeks”
Muscle injury for Anthony Edwards: the three-time All-Star of the Timberwolves will miss at least two weeks of action: here are the latest updates
Bad news for the Minnesota Timberwolves: Anthony Edwards will be sidelined for about two weeks due to a strain in his right hamstring.
The injury occurred almost immediately in the game against the Pacers, after a drive finished with a layup just over three minutes into the first quarter. Edwards took a hard hit, looked at the referees expecting a foul call that never came, and it quickly became clear that something was wrong.
Indiana called a timeout, and when play resumed, coach Finch chose not to take any risks: Bones Hyland checked in, Edwards checked out. Shortly after came the official confirmation – his night was over.
At first, the Timberwolves described it as a “muscle tightness” in the hamstring, but further tests revealed an actual strain, forcing the star to a precautionary two-week stop.
