Aaron Gordon Injury: Out 3-4 Weeks
Denver will be without Aaron Gordon for at least a month and a half: a hamstring injury halts one of the best season starts of his career
The Denver Nuggets seemed poised to build on a strong start to the season, but Aaron Gordon’s injury has quickly shifted their priorities.
The forward is expected to miss at least four to six weeks due to a Grade 2 strain of his right hamstring, confirmed after an MRI conducted over the weekend.
The goal now is to avoid setbacks: Aaron will only return once he is fully recovered.

Gordon goes down just as he was playing some of the best basketball of his career: averaging 18.8 points, shooting 44.4% from three, and standing as one of the few players capable of maintaining a 50%-40%-85% shooting line-clear signs that everything was clicking for him. His 50-point season debut against the Warriors had already set the tone. As one assistant coach noted:
He found the perfect balance between aggressiveness and composure.

And the injury concerns don’t stop with him. The Nuggets have already lost Christian Braun, out at least six weeks with an ankle sprain. With two starters sidelined, the depth Denver built in the offseason will be tested immediately.
The first player called upon will be Peyton Watson, who will see a significant increase in minutes and responsibilities. Additional support will come from the new arrivals – Cam Johnson, Bruce Brown, Tim Hardaway Jr., and Jonas Valančiūnas – pieces added specifically to maintain stability when the roster gets thin.
The priority now is to weather this stretch while minimizing the damage and to bring Gordon back to the court in the best possible condition. For a player experiencing the best version of himself, returning the right way matters far more than rushing back.
