Tyler Herro ready for his season debut

After undergoing ankle surgery, Tyler Herro is ready to reclaim his spot in the Miami Heat rotation

After an almost two-month wait, Tyler Herro is ready to return to the court. The Miami Heat All-Star is expected to make his season debut on Monday against the Dallas Mavericks, barring any setbacks. The guard underwent ankle surgery on September 19, but is now set to rejoin a team that has already shown great solidity in his absence.

Norman Powell, with Herro sidelined, has shouldered much of the offensive workload, averaging 24.9 points per game. With Herro back, Miami can count on two high-level scorers, further expanding the offensive options available to coach Erik Spoelstra.

The game against Dallas will be not only a return, but also a test to assess Herro’s physical condition after the surgery and to understand how his pairing with Powell might influence the Miami Heat’s path this season.
