Stephen Curry Nearing Return: “I Feel Great, But…”

Stephen Curry is speeding toward a comeback, but without forcing it. The feeling is positive, caution remains. The latest updates

The Golden State Warriors are finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel. After weeks of waiting and managing a knee injury, Stephen Curry has returned to full 5-on-5 activity – a key step in his recovery process.

It’s not time for an official return just yet, but the latest signs are encouraging. And most importantly, they come directly from the four-time NBA champion himself.

Curry’s Words: “I’m on the Right Track”

After the scrimmage, Curry offered a clear and measured assessment of the situation:

I feel great. I’m doing everything I can. But with this kind of injury, it’s always unpredictable: I don’t know how my knee will respond, because in the past it hasn’t reacted well when I’ve tried to return to 5-on-5

Stephen Curry

Confidence, yes – but with caution. No. 30 emphasized that he is “where he needs to be” at this stage, with the goal of continuing to make progress in the coming days.

A Longer-Than-Expected Recovery

The injury dates back to late January, when Curry experienced pain and swelling in his knee. His last appearance remains January 30 against the Detroit Pistons.

Since then, more than two months on the sidelines, including a failed return attempt around the All-Star break, when his knee couldn’t handle the load of on-court workouts.

Without Curry, the Warriors have held their ground, staying in the race at least for the Play-In Tournament. But it’s clear that without their leader, expectations remain limited.

To truly compete, Golden State needs its offensive and emotional engine. And time is running out.

The Real Issue: Risk Management

The key question isn’t so much when he’ll return, but how. Managing his comeback will be crucial to avoid setbacks, especially considering recent history.

A rushed return could compromise the end of the season. A cautious one, on the other hand, risks coming too late to make a real impact.

Golden State must find the right balance. And Curry knows it well.
