Edwards disappoints in Game 2 but sends a message: “Target Center will be insane”

The Spurs won Game 2 to even the series 1-1 against the Timberwolves. Now it shifts to Minneapolis, where Anthony Edwards is calling on the Target Center crowd to help push Minnesota in the NBA playoff series

The San Antonio Spurs took Game 2 against the Minnesota Timberwolves and tied the series at 1-1. Now the matchup heads to Minneapolis, where the next two games will be played.

Anthony Edwards returned in Game 1 after missing time with the injury he suffered in the series against the Denver Nuggets. But his Game 2 performance was one to forget: just 12 points on 5-of-13 shooting in 24 minutes, coming off the bench.

We started the game way too soft. They were very physical and aggressive right away. We came out flat, and that was the main problem… they were simply the hungrier team

Asked whether the Spurs may have regained confidence in the series after the win, Ant-Man was very direct:

They won by 40 points. If I were them, I’d have a lot of confidence

Even so, the four-time All-Star called on Timberwolves fans to create a hostile environment for the upcoming games at Target Center.

They’re going to be hyped. They’ll be moving side to side and making noise, completely drunk. They’re going to be unbelievably loud in there

With home-court advantage now in hand, Minnesota wants to make a strong push to put pressure on Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs and take control of the series.
