Anthony Davis sets his goal: “I want to play all 82 games”

Anthony Davis is optimistic about the upcoming season with the Washington Wizards. The veteran big man wants to play all 82 games, has set a team goal, and also had high praise for rookie A.J. Dybantsa

Anthony Davis was one of the biggest names on the trade market this summer. For weeks, he appeared to be on the verge of leaving the Washington Wizards, a team he has yet to suit up for. Earlier this month, however, the franchise informed interested teams that Davis was no longer available.

While the former Laker never seemed particularly enthusiastic about his new destination, he said during a Twitch livestream that he is feeling confident heading into next season. His main goal is to return to top form after spending more time on the sidelines than on the court over the past two years.

What will my stats be? I don’t care. I want to play all 82 games next season, and we’re going to win at least 40 games

AD also had glowing words for the team’s new rookie, A.J. Dybantsa, saying he has no doubt that the young forward will win Rookie of the Year.

Even so, Davis’ future remains uncertain despite the Wizards’ public stance. A trade during the season cannot be ruled out, especially if his market value rebounds, giving Washington the opportunity to acquire valuable assets for the franchise’s future.
