In the days leading up to the announcement, however, one incident sent social media into a frenzy. An invitation to LeBron James’ introductory press conference accidentally appeared on the Heat’s official YouTube channel, fueling speculation that his return to Miami was imminent.

Why the Heat had LeBron James’ press conference ready
According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, the incident was neither a leak nor evidence that a deal had already been finalized.
Instead, the mistake reportedly came from a member of the Heat’s communications staff who, before leaving for vacation, decided to get ahead on preparations by creating all the possible content that would be needed if LeBron James ultimately chose Miami.
The page, however, was accidentally published instead of being kept private, quickly spreading across the internet and sparking a wave of speculation.
The report adds that both LeBron James and his agent, Rich Paul, were amused by the frenzy caused by what was simply a technical error.

According to ESPN, that position had already been open since early July, well before the LeBron James incident occurred.
