Cooper Flagg Rookie Card found: Mavs make huge offer

The search is officially over. Cooper Flagg’s 1-of-1 Rookie Card, likely the most coveted NBA card on the market right now, was finally found during a live pack opening in Rhode Island.

The lucky pull came during a livestream hosted by RhodyBreakers, a division of Baseball Cards of Rhode Island. One of the packs contained the incredibly rare signed “Rookie Debut Patch” card of young Dallas Mavericks star Cooper Flagg.

The card, part of the 2026 Topps Chrome Update Basketball collection, contains the actual jersey patch worn by Flagg during the first half of his NBA debut (the jersey itself was sold at auction last February for $1 million) and was signed by the player during Fanatics Fest.

The Mavs’ offer for Flagg’s Rookie Card

The discovery immediately reignited attention around the incredible “bounty” put up by the Dallas Mavericks to get the collectible back. The franchise offered the lucky owner an extraordinary package: two courtside season tickets for the next 32 years, a signed game-worn jersey, a private photo opportunity with the Rookie of the Year trophy, an all-expenses-paid trip to follow the team and other exclusive benefits.

Accept the offer from Dallas or take it to auction? For the owner, the choice won’t be an easy one. Last year, a similar card featuring baseball star Paul Skenes sold for $1.11 million, and experts estimate that Flagg’s one-of-a-kind card (the author of a 51-point career high in his first season) could easily surpass that figure.

Considering that the current record for one of his cards stands at $366,000, set in March, the auction for this piece of sports card history is shaping up to go beyond all limits.
