Jaylen Brown faces the Celtics again: “It’s like running into your ex”
Jaylen Brown is preparing to return to TD Garden for the first time since the trade that sent him to the Philadelphia 76ers
After ten seasons with the Boston Celtics, the time has come for Jaylen Brown to face the team he grew up with and won an NBA championship with. The 29-year-old will return to TD Garden as an opponent, wearing a Philadelphia 76ers jersey, for a preseason matchup that carries a very different feeling than usual.
That’s life. It’s like running into your ex in public and thinking, “Damn, we used to be together.” You look at her and you’re like, “Damn.” You just have to keep it moving

After a championship, a Finals MVP award and a season as the team’s leader and leading scorer, the schedule now puts him face-to-face with his past for the first time since the trade for Paul George. Tip-off between the Celtics and 76ers is set for Saturday at 8:00 p.m. ET.
