Kawhi Leonard moves closer to return

An update on Kawhi Leonard’s condition: the Raptors forward has completed treatment on his knee and is preparing for the next phase of his recovery

Kawhi Leonard’s return to the Toronto Raptors hasn’t started quite the way Canadian fans hoped. After just two regular-season games, the 35-year-old was sidelined by a left knee injury, but encouraging news has finally arrived.

The Raptors announced that Leonard has completed treatment for swelling in his knee and begun rehabilitation and return-to-play work in Toronto.

The franchise plans to provide another update in a week, while his earliest possible return could be November 11 against the Boston Celtics. For now, however, no return date has been officially confirmed.

Unfortunately, Kawhi’s injury history is all too familiar. The good news is that no structural damage has been found this time. Now comes the most important part: seeing him play again.
