How high are Salary Cap and Luxury Tax for 2021-2022 season? Here you are the amount in detail, team by team
For season 2021-2022 NBA and NBPA have decided to keep the Salary Cap high, in order to support Free Agents and team owners after the difficult period because of the Covid-19 emergency.
As far as concerne Salary Cap and Luxury Cap, the two parameters remain unchanged over the previous year: $112,4 millions for Salary Cap and $136,6 millions for Luxury Tax. The threshold for Luxury Tax Apron has been set at $143,1 millions.
For the following seasons, Salary Cap and Luxury Cap will increase from a minimum of 3% to a maximum of 10% on the basis of league revenues, closely linked to the total revenues of the league as a whole (BRI, Basketball Related Income). The percentage kept from players’ salaries (escrow) is stable at 10%.
