Centers

Rudy Gobert (Minnesota Timberwolves, 14.1 cr)

We rarely consider him for our fantasy basketball teams, but with a price tag under 15 credits, an average of nearly 30 PDK is quite impressive. Historically, he has delivered solid performances against the Lakers (34 and 31 PDK in this season’s matchups), and we’re confident he could reach up to 40 PDK in Game 20.

Isaiah Hartestein (Oklahoma City Thunder, 11.5 cr)

A regular, if not fixed, presence in our column, but there’s no point in looking for unlikely alternatives. He still costs very little, and the Mavs are the third-worst team defensively against centers. Do we need more reasons? Under 12 credits, he’s probably the hottest player on Dunkest right now.

Mason Plumlee (Phoenix Suns, 6.9 cr)

Amid a Phoenix team literally torn apart by the usual seasonal injuries, we are finally rediscovering the tactical importance of a player like Mason Plumlee. The former Hornets center is proving that he fully deserves a spot in the rotation of a team fighting for the NBA title. It would almost be a crime not to pick him for the matchup against Utah.

Forwards

Moritz Wagner (Orlando Magic, 7.3 cr)

A near-mandatory pick. After Banchero, his brother Franz is also injured, making the former Alba Berlin player an essential choice for Fantasy Basketball. His skills are undeniable, and the matchup against the Bucks presents plenty of opportunities.

Herbert Jones (New Orleans Pelicans, 6.7 cr)

After 13 games on the sidelines, he’s returned with 26 PDK. The injury situation with the Pelicans is a ticking time bomb, and good old Herbert could seize the opportunity to rack up plenty of tasty PDK and a nice profit. It’s now or never.

Duncan Robinson (Miami Heat, 6.8 cr)

If anyone were to feature the symbol of Spoelstra’s mentality in Miami on the cover, Duncan Robinson would probably be the top candidate for the spotlight. The Maine forward has been consistently hitting incredible long-range shots for years and remains a decisive factor for his team. It’s almost a must-pick for the matchup against Toronto.

Guards

Russell Westbrook (Denver Nuggets, 9.2 cr)

The Nuggets’ season, aside from Jokic, has been below expectations, and the former OKC player is one of the few bright spots. With Murray facing criticism and struggling, betting on Mr. Triple Double against the Clippers might be the right move.

Chris Paul (San Antonio Spurs, 12.4 cr)

Let’s wrap up the player section with an evergreen: Chris Paul. With or without Wembanyama, CP3 can easily surpass 30 PDK, and against the Blazers, one of the weakest defenses against guards, we’re aiming for over 40. We believe in it.

Stephon Castle (San Antonio Spurs, 6.9 cr)

Our favorite rookie had a November that propelled him into the Spurs’ starting lineup with great results. After some convincing performances, Castle heads into this game against the beatable Portland with the goal of securing the ultimate profit.

Coach

Doc Rivers (Milwaukee Bucks, 8.5 cr)

The NBA has often surprised us, but this time we really struggle to see how the Magic, without their best players, could beat the Bucks. A month ago, we might have had some doubts, but not this time.

Billy Donovan (Chicago Bulls, 5.2 cr)

If you’re looking for a low-cost coach, we recommend going for Donovan. The project with the Bulls is still unclear, but against what’s left of the Hornets, they are the favorites. A calculated risk.
