Golden State Warriors 2026-2027 guide
Curry re-signs, Butler and Porzingis are dealing with physical issues: let’s see what the Warriors are ready to offer in Fantasy Basketball and in the NBA
Kerr re-signs, Curry re-signs, but the Golden State Warriors themselves do not really change, presenting a team that is almost identical, aside from the excellent Lendeborg addition through the Draft, but now with another year and a few more injuries on the clock. Let’s see what our Dunkest teams can get out of the Warriors.
At the end of the article, you can check out all the guides to the 30 NBA teams by visiting the Guide Index.
Dunkest NBA Fantasy Basketball is the most-played FantaNBA game in Italy, with more than 200,000 fantasy coaches competing every year since 2013 through points, assists and rebounds. It is free and can be played through the iOS app, Android app and Website.
Key players
Stephen Curry (G, 15.0 cr): one year older, one credit cheaper, still the same centerpiece of a team that, by necessity, has to rely on his shooting and offensive ability. Last season he once again increased his scoring average despite playing fewer minutes, reminding everyone that he is still very much here even after blowing out 38 candles.
On a team that should be able to count on Butler and Porzingis, Brandin Podziemski (G, 10.5 cr) would occupy the role of fourth offensive option, and yet this year he will once again become the main support Curry has to lean on, with one key difference. This is the final year of his contract, and we are sure he will want to showcase everything he can do, especially considering that Butler’s long absence will inflate his numbers considerably.
Potential surprises
Yaxel Lendeborg (F, 9.0 cr) enters the season as the most experienced and accomplished rookie. Already ready to contribute immediately, his price is not exactly cheap, but his versatility and guaranteed place in the starting five could bring plenty of satisfaction in terms of bonus production.
Despite deeper competition than in the past, whenever he has been available the Warriors have shown that they want to rely heavily on De’Anthony Melton (G, 7.0 cr). At 23 minutes per game last season, his two-way contribution proved crucial in freeing up the team’s other guards offensively, enough for him to start half of the games he played.
Players to avoid
The talent is unquestionably there, but Kristaps Porzingis (C, 9.5 cr) comes with an injury and availability history that leaves little room for doubt. Since the 2017/18 season, he has topped 60 appearances only once, while last year he played just 32 games, with his rebounding contribution continuing to decline – only 5.2 rebounds per game last season. Among the many centers available in this price range, he certainly does not stand out as one of the most appealing options.
Projected starting five
PG: Stephen Curry (Guard, 15.0 Credits)
SG: Brandin Podziemski (Guard, 10.5 Credits)
SF: Yaxel Lendeborg (Forward, 9.0 Credits)
PF: Draymond Green (Forward, 8.0 Credits)
C: Kristaps Porzingis (Center, 9.5 Credits)
Power Ranking
Last year they grabbed the 10th spot, more because of other teams’ shortcomings than their own merit, and this season does not appear to have started in the best possible way. Meanwhile, the Mavs, Kings and Jazz are getting important players back or adding them through the Draft, and with three more opponents competing for a spot, the Warriors risk missing the Play-In altogether.
