Milwaukee Bucks 2026-2027 guide

Herro and Rollins lead the new-look Bucks, while Ware could emerge as a surprise: let’s break down Taylor Jenkins’ team from a Dunkest Fantasy Basketball perspective

This season, the Milwaukee Bucks could bring us fantasy managers a lot more satisfaction than they bring their own fans. Wins may be hard to come by, but a roster with a pecking order that is still taking shape could hide several interesting opportunities for our Dunkest teams.

At the end of the article, you can check out all the guides to the 30 NBA teams by visiting the Guide Index.

Dunkest NBA Fantasy Basketball is the most-played FantaNBA game in Italy, with more than 200,000 fantasy coaches competing every year since 2013 through points, assists and rebounds. It is free and can be played through the iOS app, Android app and Website.

Key players

While we wait to see what the final hierarchy will look like, Milwaukee appears to be relying primarily on three offensive weapons. Tyler Herro (G, 12.0 cr.) returns to his hometown of Milwaukee with the opportunity to take on major responsibilities right away. After a difficult stretch in Miami, the new environment could allow him to regain confidence and, above all, a significant offensive workload.

Ryan Rollins (G, 11.5 cr.), who was mentioned for several months among the possible Most Improved Player candidates last season, is now being asked to take the final step. What he has shown so far suggests a player the Bucks can build around in the future as well, and this year he will have the minutes and possessions to prove it once and for all.

Rounding out the trio is Kevin Porter Jr. (G, 10.0 cr.), who can use his talent and creativity with the ball in his hands to produce, especially during the minutes when Jenkins turns to the second unit.

Potential surprises

According to the early indications, Kel’el Ware (C, 10.0 cr.) should begin the season coming off the bench, but his role could change quickly. If Milwaukee falls out of the Playoff race early, it would be natural to give him more and more minutes and responsibility.

His ability to play away from the rim also makes it possible to use him alongside Turner. In Miami, he already showed he can produce double-doubles even without huge minutes and against tough opponents: he may not be a Gameweek 1 pick, but he is definitely a name to keep on our radar.

Going even lower in price, one of the most intriguing profiles is Kasparas Jakucionis (G, 6.0 cr.), who also arrived in the summer deal with Miami. Under Spoelstra, he was used mainly as a spot-up shooter on kick-outs, while in a Bucks situation with far fewer certainties he could have the chance to expand his role. At 6 credits, his potential growth and ability to contribute across several statistical categories make him one of the gambles to monitor during the opening weeks.

Players to avoid

The opposite applies to Myles Turner (C, 9.0 cr.) and Kyle Kuzma (F, 7.0 cr.). Both could begin the season with important roles, but as the year goes on their minutes could decrease in favor of younger players.

Their veteran status is unlikely to change Milwaukee’s outlook over 82 games and, if the Bucks quickly slide toward the bottom of the standings, it would make more sense to use the season to determine which players should be part of the future.

Kuzma’s contract situation, in particular, adds another layer of uncertainty surrounding his future and whether he will even finish the season in Milwaukee.

Projected starting five

PG: Ryan Rollins (Guard, 11.5 Credits)

SG: Tyler Herro (Guard, 12.0 Credits)

SF: Jaime Jacquez Jr. (Forward, 9.0 Credits)

PF: Kyle Kuzma (Forward, 7.0 Credits)

C: Myles Turner (Center, 9.0 Credits)

Power Ranking

Rather than a simple rebuild, Milwaukee is facing a season of evaluation. After saying goodbye to Giannis, the main goal will be to understand how much value the trade actually brought back and which players can become part of the Bucks’ next cycle.

The pecking order could change quickly, and the younger players will inevitably receive more and more opportunities as the months go by. All of this can be very interesting from a Dunkest perspective, much less so for the NBA standings: Milwaukee enters the season as one of the leading candidates to finish last in the Eastern Conference.
