Anthony Davis and LeBron James on the Warriors? Wizards shut the door

The possibility of a LeBron James and Anthony Davis reunion with the Golden State Warriors has become far more complicated after the Wizards’ latest decision. Washington has pulled the plug on trade talks, reshaping the NBA market surrounding LeBron

The dream of seeing Anthony Davis and LeBron James reunite with the Golden State Warriors appears to be fading. According to ESPN insider Marc J. Spears, it was the Washington Wizards who decided to end trade discussions with Golden State.

Washington’s decision could reshape the landscape surrounding a potential move for LeBron James to the Golden State Warriors, although Cleveland and Miami remain strong contenders. Even so, the Warriors continue to be viewed as one of the leading candidates to land the four-time NBA champion.

For their part, the Wizards view Anthony Davis as the ideal veteran to lead their young core, beginning with No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa. At the same time, they believe AD is still a superstar capable of making the team a legitimate NBA Playoffs contender – provided he can stay healthy.
