More than 100,000 teams, 91 game days, eight months of competition, and a battle that remained wide open until the very end. Riccardo Biagioni captured the Dunkest 2026 title ahead of Fabio Ravera and Alessandro Bonaldi
Eight months of competition, 91 game days, more than 100,000 teams in the field, and a standings race that remained completely open until the final stretch. The Dunkest 2026 season comes to a close after a long, intense journey filled with twists and turns, rewarding consistency and the ability to adapt to an increasingly unpredictable NBA.
Claiming the top spot on the podium was Riccardo Biagioni and his Garfagnana 3 squad, author of a remarkable comeback that allowed him to overtake Fabio Ravera and his V-Nere team in the closing stages. Ravera also captured the first-ever Dunkest Cup title. Completing the podium was Alessandro Bonaldi with Washington Generals, a constant presence near the top of the standings throughout the season.
Record prizes for the top fantasy managers
Adding even more prestige to the Dunkest 2026 season was the impressive prize pool awarded through the Overall Standings. Champion Riccardo Biagioni earned a Dunkest trip for one person, choosing from the experiences organized during the 2026/27 NBA season. Runner-up Fabio Ravera received a €1,000 Amazon gift card, while Alessandro Bonaldi was awarded a €500 Amazon gift card for finishing third.
Prizes also extended to the other top finishers in the final Dunkest 2026 standings. Fourth and fifth place received €300 Amazon gift cards, while managers finishing from sixth through tenth place earned €200 Amazon gift cards.
Participants finishing between eleventh and twentieth place received €100 Airdom vouchers, while those placing from twenty-first to thirtieth earned €50 Airdom vouchers.
A prize pool worth thousands of euros rewarded the season’s top fantasy managers, making the race for the Dunkest NBA 2026 Overall Standings even more thrilling through the final game day.
Biagioni: “I realized around round 20 that I could fight for the title”
For Riccardo Biagioni, success came at the end of a season that was as demanding as it was exciting.
The season that just ended was very long and demanding, but also extremely exciting. I’d like to congratulate the second- and third-place finishers, Fabio Ravera and Alessandro Bonaldi, because we traded places at the top many times and they also had tremendous seasons
Riccardo Biagioni
The overall champion identified consistency and years of accumulated experience as key factors in his journey.
I realized around round 20 that I could compete for the top spots in the overall standings. I’ve been playing Dunkest NBA for many years, and I believe experience in the game is important if you want to compete for the highest positions
Riccardo Biagioni
Biagioni also emphasized the importance of the opening weeks of the season, which are crucial for building budget through value increases and strong scores, while stressing the need to constantly monitor injury reports and player availability.
Among the season’s most appreciated innovations was also the Dunkest Cup:
I really enjoyed the introduction of the Dunkest Cup, especially the knockout stage, which was incredibly engaging. I hope it returns and maybe even expands
Riccardo Biagioni
Ravera: “An incredible battle until the very end”
Fabio Ravera finished second overall after a season spent as one of the main protagonists, leading the standings for long stretches while also winning the inaugural Dunkest Cup.
This Dunkest season was really long and exhausting because including the playoffs increased the mental effort significantly. Focus naturally drops over time, and playoff dynamics are unpredictable
Fabio Ravera
Ravera explained how the decisive point of the season often comes after the All-Star break.
My deadline is usually the All-Star break. If I’m still close to the leaders at that point, I usually end up finishing well. NBA teams start playing for playoff positioning, and that makes decisions easier to read
Fabio Ravera
When it comes to advice for other fantasy managers, the V-Nere manager has no doubts:
You need to follow news right up until the last second because an absence or injury can completely change the performance of other players, making value gains and fantasy points decisive
Fabio Ravera
Finally, he paid tribute to the season’s winner.
Riccardo Biagioni showed incredible consistency. Point by point he chipped away at my lead before passing me by just ten points. It was truly a great battle – congratulations
Fabio Ravera
Bonaldi: “An uncertain season until the final round”
Completing the podium was Alessandro Bonaldi, whose Washington Generals team maintained elite-level performances from start to finish.
It was a fantastic season, full of uncertainty right up until the final game day, and it ended with a podium finish. I really liked the new format with a single standings table combining regular season and playoffs because it rewards the best managers from the first game day to the last
Alessandro Bonaldi
Bonaldi also pointed to the opening weeks as one of the most delicate periods of the entire season.
I started believing I could finish near the top after the first twenty game days. The opening weeks are the most difficult, and getting off to a strong start is crucial
Alessandro Bonaldi
For the third-place finisher, there are no magic formulas, but experience and instinct can make all the difference.
There weren’t any particular secrets. I think the experience I’ve gained over the years as a fantasy manager was decisive, along with some successful early-season picks from the famous hidden-gem pool
Alessandro Bonaldi
Bonaldi also wanted to congratulate the two competitors who finished ahead of him while already looking ahead to next season.
A season to remember
The 2026 season will go down as one of the most competitive and widely participated editions ever. More than 100,000 teams took part in a marathon race filled with lead changes, strategies, bold decisions, and constant shifts in momentum, with the final standings determined only in the closing stages.
It was a demanding campaign that tested even the most experienced fantasy managers while also delivering plenty of excitement and satisfaction.
Now it’s time to recharge and look ahead: Dunkest will return soon with plenty of new features for the 2027 season, ready to deliver new challenges and new stories to tell.
