Dunkest NBA Fantasy Match Predictor: How It Works

The Match Predictor is coming to Dunkest NBA: make your predictions on every Matchday, earn points and climb the Overall Ranking. Find out how it works and what prizes are up for grabs.

Picking the winner is no longer enough: with the new Dunkest Match Predictor, you can test your NBA knowledge by predicting the outcome of every game throughout the season.

The Match Predictor is one of the major new features for the 2026/27 season and is available on every Dunkest Matchday, covering all NBA games on the schedule. For each matchup, simply pick the winner and try to get as many predictions right as possible over the course of the season.

How to Play the Match Predictor

Playing is simple. As soon as a new Dunkest Matchday opens, you can start making your predictions.

Each prediction can be submitted or changed until 1 minute before the start of the corresponding game. You don’t have to make all your picks at once: you can save your predictions, come back later and change them before each game’s deadline.

You can also join after a Matchday has already started. You won’t be able to make or change predictions for games that are already underway, but you can still submit your picks for all games that haven’t started yet.

Match Predictor Phases

During each Matchday, the Match Predictor goes through two different phases.

Quiz Open: you can freely submit and change your predictions. Each game remains available until 1 minute before tip-off.

Quiz in Progress: one or more games from the Matchday have already started. Predictions for those games are locked, while you can continue making picks for games that haven’t started yet and follow the live results at the same time.

How Points Are Calculated

The scoring system is straightforward:

• Correct prediction: 10 points
• Incorrect prediction: 0 points

The points you earn are added up Matchday after Matchday and determine your position in the Match Predictor Overall Ranking.

If two or more players are tied on points, the player who registered on Dunkest first will rank higher.
