He comes with a hefty price tag, that’s true, but Joel Embiid has already shown he can be a valuable Fantasy Basketball asset even with this new-look Philadelphia 76ers team. He’s still capable of filling up the stat sheet across all major categories, making him a very interesting Dunkest option. The biggest question mark is his shooting efficiency: if his shots are falling, the ceiling is incredibly high. So why not dream of a triple-double against the Charlotte Hornets? An expensive Captain pick, but one with massive potential.

Scottie Barnes @ Los Angeles Lakers
Kawhi Leonard’s injury has put Scottie Barnes back in the spotlight, and the opening games have already shown some encouraging signs from a Dunkest perspective. His talent has never been in doubt, and his ability to contribute points, rebounds, and assists makes him a particularly appealing Captain option. Against a Los Angeles Lakers team still trying to find its rhythm, Barnes could be in for a big night. Why not aim for a Man of the Match performance?

Trae Young @ Orlando Magic
At just under 16 credits, Trae Young hasn’t exactly delivered monster scores yet, but he’s consistently put up more than 33 FPT in every game so far. That kind of consistency shouldn’t be overlooked, especially when looking for a reliable Captain. The road matchup against the Orlando Magic could be the perfect opportunity to take things up a notch, making him a great investment for T3. The minimum target? A double-double, of course!

Average scores and teams not on the schedule
- Teams that are on the schedule but marked as resting will receive their average score (including all players on the roster, injured ones as well, plus the coach). This is designed to optimize the NBA calendar as much as possible. As in the regular season, players who receive an average score due to scheduling reasons will NOT get the 1.5x captain bonus if selected as captain.
- Teams NOT on the schedule (players, coaches, and unavailable players) will NOT be considered “resting teams” and will NOT receive an average score, but instead 0 points. These are teams that have been eliminated or have already qualified and are waiting for their next Playoff opponent.
