Everything you need for Round 16 of Dunkest Playoff NBA Fantasy. From fantasy basketball tips, position by position.

NBA Playoffs, what happens to Fantabasket?

The regular season has ended, making way for the most thrilling part of the year: the NBA Playoffs. With the start of the postseason, the Dunkest Fantabasket dedicated to the Playoffs begins, offering a new challenge for all enthusiasts, with slightly different rules and dynamics compared to the regular season.

Teams not on the schedule

Teams NOT on the schedule (players, coaches, and those unavailable) will NOT be considered ‘resting teams’ and will NOT receive their average score but 0 points. Teams not on the schedule are obviously those eliminated or those already qualified, who are waiting for the opponent to face in the next round of the Playoffs.

NBA Fantasy Captain Picks

Are you unsure who to make captain for the Dunkest round? Here are our tips, one for each turn.

Centers

Chet Holmgren (Oklahoma City Thunder, 12 cr)

With Hartenstein often limited in the rotation due to coaching decisions (he hasn’t played more than 25 minutes in the last three games), we’re betting on OKC’s center in the battle under the rim against the T’Wolves. With 5 double-doubles in his last 7 games, Chet is undoubtedly the best center in terms of value for money, and he has everything it takes to shine against the Gobert/Reid duo.

Forwards

Julius Randle (Minnesota Timberwolves, 13.3 cr)

What a postseason Randle is having! So far, he’s been the best player on the T’Wolves, clearly outperforming Edwards and carrying the team on his shoulders. Even from a Dunkest perspective, he’s in the form of his life: over the last 5 games, he’s always scored more than 30 fantasy points, averaging 27 points and 7.6 rebounds while shooting 60% from the field. To avoid a costly 0-2 deficit, another true All-Star performance will be needed.

Guards

Josh Hart (New York Knicks, 13.6 cr)

After a 29-fantasy-point Game 1 and the surprising loss by the Knicks, we expect a proud reaction from Hart and his teammates. New York absolutely needs to secure Game 2 before heading to Indianapolis, and we’re sure the passionate MSG crowd will make its presence felt. During the regular season, Hart recorded a double-double in all three games against Indiana, averaging over 40 fantasy points

Coach

Mark Daigneault (Oklahoma City Thunder, 12.1 cr)

Following a tough series against the Nuggets, they pulled away in the second half of Game 1 against the T’Wolves, starting the new matchup in the best possible way. Now, with home-court advantage, we expect OKC to go up 2-0 fairly comfortably.
