LeBron to the Warriors? Tucker predicts Anthony Davis will follow
According to P.J. Tucker, the Golden State Warriors are preparing to land not only LeBron James, but Anthony Davis as well in a blockbuster move that would pair them with two other NBA legends
LeBron James’ free agency continues to dominate the NBA conversation, but among all the speculation surrounding his future, no prediction has generated more buzz than the one made by P.J. Tucker.
Speaking on stage at Fanatics Fest in New York, the former NBA champion said he is convinced that King James’ next destination will be the Bay Area – and that Anthony Davis, currently with the Washington Wizards, will soon join him in San Francisco to create a true superteam.
I see LeBron in Golden State. Bron with the Warriors would be scary… and AD is about to leave Washington. They’re going to get him too
P.J. Tucker
Tucker’s prediction was met with skepticism by his fellow panelists from the Club 520 Podcast, and it should be taken with caution, especially given reports out of Washington denying any intention of moving Davis. Still, the speculation reinforces the idea that the Golden State Warriors remain one of the most intriguing and widely discussed destinations as this free agency saga nears its conclusion.
Beyond the salary-cap hurdles and a roster that, on paper, appears a step behind Eastern Conference contenders like Philadelphia and Miami – despite featuring Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Kristaps Porzingis – the Warriors still have compelling cards to play.
In addition to the relentless recruiting efforts from Curry and Green – who has even said he would completely reshape his game to accommodate James – the deciding factor could be logistical and personal. A move to the Bay Area would allow LeBron to remain close to Los Angeles, making it easier to stay near his daughter Zhuri and the rest of his family, a priority that has always carried significant weight for him.
With an official decision expected within the next few hours, Warriors fans continue to dream. The possibility of pairing the legendary careers of Stephen Curry and LeBron James may yet become reality in what could be the final chapter of both superstars’ careers.
